God has always used less than perfect people, even big sinners, to do his work… so why do we insist that our Presidential nominee be perfectly in line with our every requirement of a perfect conservative President?
The left does not have this problem, at least not as much as the right. The left sees a job to be done and selects from their stable one of their own they feel can accomplish that job. The right is obsessed with making charts of who is the most [insert desired quality here].
Why is this a problem? Because our objective should be to elect the best candidate to get this country moving back to constitutional and financial solvency, not which one ranks best on a “conservative score card”.
Our country is going 180 degrees in the wrong direction at 180mph… we need an equal and opposite force to turn it around. If, and only if it was going in the correct direction, would we have the luxury to pick a candidate using a “conservative score card” to tweak it.
Right now we need the candidate most able to stop the speeding train and live through the ordeal.
In my opinion Donald Trump is that person. I really like Ted Cruz and Ben Carson; Cruz outscores either of them on the conservative scale and he’s a scrappy fighter. However, a lot of the problems we have in this country are symptoms of bigger, behind the scene problems. These behind the scene problems come from a mostly hidden realm of people and organizations with virtually bottomless pockets (Trumps pockets are not bottomless by the way; they’re deep but not bottomless). These people/groups don’t care about countries because they’ll be OK no matter what. Trump is better prepared to recognize and fight this type of problem than anyone else.
Knowing we have to simultaneously fight the symptoms (debt, borders, immigration, gun control, tax, government overreach, LGBT rights distractions, SJWs, climate change hoax, etc.) while fighting the hidden real problems, i.e. control by mega international financial people/groups, who do you think is the best choice to lead the battle? Exactly: Trump, then Cruz, then Carson.
We should measure our potential candidates against this scorecard: can he or she stop the runaway train, not just a conservative principles scorecard. We need to save the country now, so that we can, at a later date worry about this or that conservative principle, otherwise, we won’t have a country left to worry about.
My last point: the GOPe (that “e” means “elite”) and the dems are controlled by the people behind the scenes… that’s why they hate Trump, Cruz, and Carson, and love Obama, Hillary, and the Bushes. Yes, you read that right… what has the GOPe done to stop Obama or Hillary… crickets…
Until next time,
